bad news, i heard its confirmed the game has FAKE widescreen. Have they not learn anything from the first game?

the game cuts off top and bottom when you play in 16:9 or 16:10 or even worse.. triplehead (more like squint ur eyes view), tahts right.

what is this, 2005?

I won't believe anything until I play it myself. The game unlocks in 2 hours.

Also, 16:9 would be the correct one. 16:10 and 4:3 would actually add to the top and bottom. :) (But that's assuming what people are saying is true)

And one more thing, BioShock 2 is actually developed by a different team than the original, so there's room for mistakes and different decisions.

let us know if it really is fake widescreen. accoridng to the OFFICIAL site:

http://www.2kgames.com/cultofrapture/article/bioshock2pcmegafeature

it does specifically say this "The FOV cannot be changed, and it is set to 75 degrees vertically. The default for users with widescreen monitors will be that they have a horizontally expanded viewport as compared to 4:3 or 5:4 monitors. "

which indicates it is Hor+ true widescreen, but i'm expecting the worse.

Thats lovely how they are using 4:3 screenshots @ 800x600 for their official screenshots there -_-

I thought that they didn't even have any more 4:3 screens in the office when they launched the first bioshock??? :nudgenudge

Colour me utterly unsurprised.

Come on, who here really thought 2K Games would actually get it right this time? Seriously?

I honestly did. I figured that they learned their lesson after the shitstorm from the first game. Hell they are using the exact same engine so the correct code would already be in place, its more work to actually take it back out...
