I just bought the new Dell 2405 24" monitor. I previously was using a 17" Sumsung 730b. I got it all hooked up and when playing FEAR the game is all jittery and jerky. I have everything maxed out b/c thats what I had the settings at when I used the previous monitor and it worked fine. Anyone have any idea why it would do this?

Alienware Aurora 5500
AMD FX-55 Processor
ABit av8 MB
6800 ultra 256mb
2.61 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM
DELL 24"

because you are runing at a higher resolution and it take more power (video card)
to push it that high

before i went to 2GB with every texture detail maxed out i used to get caching of the HDD frequently that caused me annoyance :)

solved with more RAM, maybe you could use task manager and monitor how much RAM is in use whilst the game is in operation
