Hey, has anyone figured if there is a way to access any mission in the game without having saved games at the beginning of each chapter? I played the game 4 times now and I just want to play some missions now and then. But I never thought of saving games along the way :(

Better than Painkiller - there is actually AI.

However, it's a system hog, and if you like mindless blasters, you probably won't care for 'intelligent' enemies. ;)

Good to hear PS thanks mucho. I see you played Painkiller....I thought we talked about that in the past :?: Anyway, what intrigued me about FEAR was the storyline (what's up with the girl from the Ring?) and also the slow motion kills and paranormal, that was why I was a fan of Painkiller. The endless hordes and the spooky setting was worth the fun. The Boss levels irritated me somewhat as did the Tarot card thing, but all in all I did enjoy it. FEAR can't take anymore space the HL2 or BF2 can it?

Space isn't the problem - I can't remember exactly how much it takes up, but it's 4-5GB or something. (3.7 rings a bell...) It's more a case of insane specs to get it to play smoothly.

I'm playing it at high/max, no AA 2xAF at 1280x800 on my destop. I bet more RAM and a faster CPU would help... higher res's kill framerate.

As for the girl, I won't spoil the plot. I enjoyed the game, though. :)

/back on topic :D

There is no cheat that allows you top play any mission.

As a workaround I could start with 1st mission and the use the 'maphole' cheat to skip to next maps but that's annoying as hell. I wish there was saved game cheat or script or something.
