Eve online is an awesome game. Quite a steep learning curve but well worth it. What about Homeworld 2, another great game.

Gabbo has been busy adding info and screenshots etc. for quite a few games ... he has just posted a solution for Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos which includes a FOV hack ... here ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/

the great STARLANCER works good with 16/9 monitor (even under windows 8 64 bits )
You just need to modify manually the "X & Yres" into the "starlancer.ini" file

Xres=1280
Yres=720

that's all !!

ps : it won't support higher resolution than 1280x720
