Confirmed this with a few people and some other forums here and there, punkbuster is now kicking all users who specify a non standard resolution by the command line in battlefield 2142, so my +szx 1920+szy 1200 is now a cheat..

Unfungingbumbingleavable! if they have of given it Widescreen support, this would not have had to happen.

Just another reason not to buy that stupid game.

BF214=$0. Actually, you would have to pay me to play it, as I beleive it has spyware in there.

Well, assuming the single-player portion doesn't use PunkBuster than I guess widescreen would work there, but multiplayer's where it's at so whatever score it gets, it will be pretty damn low.

i installed demo...played for about 10 minutes and then uninstalled demo...no thx

My thoughts: Since multiplayer is the reason to play the game, and punkbuster doesn't like custom resolutions, there are a few questions I have to ask.

1: Are any widescreen resolutions selectable ingame?
2: How widely used is Punkbuster?

If the answer to these questions is "none" and "always," then I think the current CMD Line solution to BF2142 should be removed, because it is not a solution at all. BF2142's solution would become "none," and it would be up there with Diablo II and Baldur's Gate; games that have no widescreen support, and therefore no grade.

'F' is reserved for games that do have widescreen support, but enabling it essentially breaks the game.

I couldn't care less about this game. No widescreen, same gameplay, just a little different graphics.
EA and Dice are just trying to milk the cow even more. This kind of company doesn't belong in the gaming industry.

On to the next game peeps, lets just forget about this piece of garbage and talk about real games.
