Just downloaded the lastest update for Madden 07 and I'm getting new resolutions and they are WS! Right now, I'm playing at 1600x900 (the highest WS available). However, I find it strange that EA choose a 16:9 format for a computer game over a 16:10 which is more standard considering that every WS monitors are 16:10 and not 16:9.

But I was actually suprise to see some WS support from EA.

I won't believe this until I see it.

Let's get some screenshots. Is the aspect ratio correct? FOV?

Personally though, I think the players look better in 1600x1200 resized on my 24" than what EA did in 1600x900.

Well... the aspect ratio is still for 4:3 screens. Those are some fat football players. 1600x1200 stretched to fill the screen will look better simply because it's higher resolution than 1600x900.

Note to EA:
Why even bother adding "widescreen" resolutions if you aren't going to support the correct aspect ratios? At least you're being consistent. Consistently BAD.
