I just found out about this on a dedicated Bioshock shader 2 forum called Shadershock. http://shadershock.tk/

They're already up to version 4 and even show screenshots of how well it works. http://www.gamedev.no/projects/BioShockSM2Hack/BioShockSM2Hack.html

This also works for the demo so I'm going to DL it again tonight just to see if it works well enough to warrant buying and playing the game on my old X800XT. Why is there nothing like this for MoH: Airborne? Is EA guarding the game content from modders?

Not everyone can afford to upgrade regularly.

The first SM 3.0 consumer cards were introduced in 2004, btw.

Oh I'll be upgrading, just not good timing right now as I want to go 9800GTX and next gen quad core, preferably Intel. Neither obviously is available yet. Unfortunate timing with the phasing out of shader 2 that's all. We're on the cusp of lots of new gear that is too tempting for me to pass up. For now I just want to play the Bioshock demo so I'm downloading it again.
