Looks awesome, on all platforms. Let's hope it actually is as good as it looks. :D

And the physics... if they're that good on consoles, I don't see why PhysX is needed at all.

Better than the previous video I saw awhile back. I like the new physics...especially the wind-blasted trees.

On a different note...will Flash video ever play better than crap in-browser? I hate that it's the web video standard.

PhysX is needed because licensing the Cryengine cost a butt load per workstation it's loaded on. Plus they get an absorbent amount of the money you make from selling the game. They don't exactly make it economical to use there engine.

Still failing to see why PhysX is needed.

Just that Crytek are greedy when it comes to licensing costs/royalties...

Well i guess it isn't needed, but it adds some nice little fabric effects. (which is actually the only thing i've seen it used for). But my point there was it gives developers something extra to use without the over all cost.

In the PC version of Mirror's Edge it was also used for particle effects for when bullets struck something. It's most notable contribution was when you were sliding down the sloped roof of a building and a helicopter was unloading a Gatling gun at you.

I've never used Physx effects because I have a single GPU and don't feel like changing that... I think Batman I could manage them, but turning them off gave me 60fps locked with max AA and vsynch, which I much prefer.

In graphics I am all about the crisp, high-res and high-AA picture... that is what I crave, and why console games and PC games with no AA annoy me to no end.
