Post subject: | Skid Challenges You To Need for Speed: Shift 2 |
Yello, WSGF is setting up a race / tournament in Need for Speed: Shift 2 and Ibrin is offering a free steam copy of Driver: San Francisco to the person able to keep the competition in there rear view mirror. The tournament will work as follows, if there are 8-12 entries there will be a single race with the first place racing taking away the prize. If there are more then 12 racers then we will add knock out rounds, for example, if there are 16 players there will be 2 races of 8 players, with the top 5 players from each race proceeding to the final. The tournament will take place on the weekend starting on the 24th of September, the time will be decided at a later date to fit in with as many of the racers as possible. Organisation on race day will be done via our IRC chat, click the chat button on the top menu bar. If you cannot make the time of the race then you will forfeit, also if you disconnect during the race this counts as a forfeit too. All races will be locked to B class cars to level the playing field between people who have played enough to get the Bugatti Veyron, and people who haven't. The tracks will be announced closer to the date, but will be of moderate to hard difficulty, the number of laps will be picked to make races last between 5-10 minutes. There is only one rule, stupid driving will get you disqualified, stupid driving includes but is not limited to, not breaking for corners and ramming into the back of people breaking infront of you, driving the wrong way, swerving with intend to ram not block, etc. If you wish to take part you must do the following:
Please only use this thread if you want to take part, giving the times available on the weekend of the 24th. Click this link for the discussion thread. [#16874] |

Post subject: | I am in, I have booked out |
I am in, I have booked out the weekend so I should be able to participate whenever. Due to living in Australia, the only really hard times are the early morning hours between 1 and 6am locally. My ideal times are: GMT Friday 23 20.00 to GMT Saturday 24 15.00 (Saturday 6am to 1am locally) or GMT Saturday 24 20.00 to GMT Sunday 25 12.00 (Sunday 6am to 10pm locally) Most difficult times: GMT 15.00 to GMT 20.00 (1am to 6am local time) any day. That time converter you linked to, Skid, says that the UK is one hour different to GMT due to daylight savings. Just putting it out there for time calculations. Updated: I've registered on Autolog. Attention! For those who are thinking of buying the game for this, be aware that there are more rules and restrictions than what Skid has posted. For instance, being forced to use the in-car view, which may be a deal-breaker for some. |
