for the guys playing COD-MW3 reloaded version: all you need to do is to install the game into steamapp/common folder as the widescreen fixer is looking for that path. it has nothing to do with the modified .exe. It's a very short lame game anyway, I can see why ppl don't want to spend 60 bucks on it.
Widescreen Fixer does not care about the path at all. It only uses the path to check which version of the game it is for identification purposes. It's mainly meant to help me out figuring out which version of a game someone might be using.
Widescreen Fixer checks currently running processes for "iw5sp" or "iw5mp", and uses the process ID of them if found. No path is ever used or referenced.
Let me know if there's anything else that needs fixed with it.
Well the FOV for starters, I'm upset because i was expecting the same fov slider as in black ops, i want my money back :(
I aint buying the next cod, regardless of what they say about it, im done.
[quote]How many people are experiencing the squished HUD? And is it only happening with MP?
It is really difficult to diagnose without three monitors. :/
I'm experiencing squished icons. Only happening in MP. Actually it's only a problem in certain MP modes. A lot of people probably aren't affected if they play Deathmatch or Hardcore modes. I play a lot of Domination and the A, B and C icons are extra wide and annoying. Some of the on-screen text is also squished but it's not a big deal. I should also note that these icons look fine in MW2. I'd be willing to test out some experimental plug-ins if that would help.
I'm having the exact same problem as eyefanity. I have tried your newest file (from today Nov. 10th) , but the only difference I can see is that within a domination match the objective overlay icons no longer go to the edge of the outer screens, they now stay within the center monitor (which is great, and an improvement), but they still appear to be horribly stretched. This also still applies to the skull icon that appears when a teammate dies, flag/flag carrier "GRAB" or "KILL" icon, Match start COUNTDOWN TEXT, etc. I have provided some screen shots to show you what I mean.
For MW2 this problem didn't exist, all of the icons were proportionate and not stretched out. It seems that the overlay is being stretched to the edges of all three monitors, which is creating the "squished" look of the icons that eyefanity mentioned, but really it seems that rather than being "squished" they're stretched out left to right, which makes them very intrusive, and makes it quite hard to play the game effectively.
BTW I'm running eyefinity (3 wide) 5760x1200, Also my Aspect Ratio within MW3's video settings is set to AUTO (have tried the others to see if it made a difference, and it has not).
NOTE: The actual HUD (ammo count, UAV, etc.) looks FINE. Just wanted that to be clear. ;)
im new to this but here we go..if bin useing widescreen fixer for mw2 and black ops and it works perfect.. if downloaded the new patch you bring out for mw3 today but it is still stretched out.. hope you can help me whit this
