I added an unhandled exception handler check so it may reveal more information than before as to why it crashes.

Since my last post on Widescreen Fixer, more game plugins have been added and some have been updated.

Ported plugins:
BioShock
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Updated plugins:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Star Wars: The Old Republic

New plugins:
SkyDrift
Sonic Generations

Try them out and let me know how they work. :)

i have the latest widescreen fixer, i went here http://widescreengamingforum.com/fovcalc.php and put in 1680:1050, thats what each acer X23W monitor will run...
after i put in the 1680:1050 it says at the bottom 3 across ans 1 tall, this is what i get...

Total Resolution = 5040 by 1050 Pixels (inc bezel comp.)
Total pixels per frame = 5.29M (inc bezel comp.)
Surround aspect ratio = 24 : 5 or 4.8 (inc bezel comp.)
Individual monitor aspect ratio = 8 : 5 or 1.6 this is without bezel....
with bezel i get...

Total Resolution = 5112 by 1050 Pixels (inc bezel comp.)
Total pixels per frame = 5.37M (inc bezel comp.)
Surround aspect ratio = 852 : 175 or 4.868571 (inc bezel comp.)
Individual monitor aspect ratio = 8 : 5 or 1.6...
there is no 8:5 in the widescreen fixer program.... ?????
so its set at 16:9 and sense the new update of steam it dont work, also i tried the beta widescreen also but it looks all choppy and also it dose'nt fit on all 3 screens right ????
i tried every setting that i could....
so now im back to using 1 monitor to play MW3 MP !!!!

please help if you can !!!!!

8:5 = 16:10

16:10 is supported.

Anyway, it should be simple

In the MW3 plugin, choose "Custom" from the drop-down list.
Enter in 5040x1050 in the boxes for "Standard Resolution."
Enter in 5112x1050 in the boxes for "Corrected Resolution."

Now when you get inside MW3, press the hotkey to enable or disable the fix.

As for the game looking "choppy" set the Image Quality inside MW3 to Native.

I've uploaded a new test version of Widescreen Fixer.

https://www.widescreenfixer.org/test.php

Included are three more game plugins:
Call of Duty: World at War
SEGA Rally Revo
Stranglehold

There's only four more plugins to port over: Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Call of Duty 2, and Halo

Hi everyone!

New to this forum., not that new to PC and have some problems with new and as well with old version WSF.
Test version total No-go. Can not open the file not as admin not as anyhow(who) Tried reinstall old version and it
is opening... In game it sees the right game (Yes Steam) but nothing happened for the game FOV. The only thing
is changing that "Yes" for "No" and for "Yes" back all day long when I hit config. Key :-)

Used the old version for like 2-3 weeks and really liked it.

Ratio used 3 monitors through TripleHead Digital 4:3

Thank's for any help. And...
thank's for this project!

Just in case attached my DxDiag...

Attached files DxDiag.txt (40.9 KB)

Hello All,

I'm new to the fourm, but have been using widescreenfixfer for about three weeks. As you know an update for MW3 was released today and dopefish posted an update on the test site.

I removed the previous version of widescreenfixer, rebooted and downloaded the new. Problem is it won't load. I get the following message... "Widescreen Fixer has stopped working".

Just to be safe I uninstalled .net framwork and reinstalled with a fresh download of .net framwork 4.0 and also loaded C++ 2010 SP1 x64 as sugguested. After rebooting I get the same message as above.

Here are the details....
