Yep, I see that Black Ops SP and MP have been updated as well today. Can't play in widescreen atm in either.

CoD Black Ops crashes when using Widescreen Fixer

Hi all,

the topic says it all. I am running a tripple monitor setup:

20" Dell - 30" Dell - 20" Dell at 5130 x 1600 (incl. Bezel correction) on a XFX 6990.

SoftTH and WS Fixer worked really well, but after I reinstalled my system CoD Black Ops (MP) keeps crashing when Widescreen Fixer is activated.

Before the reinstall Widescreen Fixer would properly display the ingame menus (including resizing it). But now it not only does not resize the menus, it crashes as soon as you click a menu item (after activating it).

Both SoftTH and WS Fixer run at the latest versions.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Kind regards

Winddancer

:nudgenudge Confirmed new Black Ops update causes "fatal error" when match changes and the onscreen text is streched, as in the spy satellite map is on the far left sceen, I prefer it on the center screen.
:bowdown Please widescreen fixers patch Black OPs :bowdown

I'll give you all the money I find in my couch as a donation :hide

At least there was an attempt to fix Black Ops. I've been requesting a fix for MW2 for a month now and .... nothing.

Thanks for the support.

Sorry I haven't had as much time to post here as I wanted.

I will be updating for MW2 hopefully soon, as well as the AlterIW version.

As for the crash on launch, look at the error message. If it mentions System.Configuration, it's possible that the config file used by Widescreen Fixer was corrupted (most likely by Widescreen Fixer itself). If this is the case, go to your C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalDavid_Rudie directory and delete the Widescreen Fixer folders you see in there. It should start again, but need reconfigured. I'll look into what is causing the issue here. I just need to find a way to replicate it myself so I know what to look for.

Good stuff! I'm sure I sounded ungrateful and that wasn't intentional. You really are doing a great job. :rockout
