Hi all,

The classic Amiga game Alien Breed has been remade after 18 years and is available on steam with -10% preorder and as a demo.

I have tested the demo on my triplehead2go using 3 x 22" monitors and was suprised to see the menu loaded up perfectly in 5040 x 1050.

However once inside the actual game the camera angle and fov mean you can only see a short distance in front.

As you can see above the view is great sideways...hmm another example of tallscreen gaming anyone lol?

When the game loads it states its using the Unreal 3 engine.
I found a few cfg files hiding in the games steam install directory but am unsure what to edit.
I think the issue is further complicated due to the angled top down camera view.

Oh and couldnt resist posting an image of the original Amiga Alien Breed for nostalgia purposes :rockout

The demo can be downloaded from steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/22610

Appreciate your help finding a solution as blasting aliens is much more fun over three screens 8)

I tried for another hour with fov settings and camera settings but didnt seem to make any difference.

I also found there are CFG files which are copied in an Alien Breed Episode 1 folder in My Documents/My Games/.

I have since given up at trying myself so have posted a message on the developers forum (Team 17) regarding support for Triplehead and Eyefinity.

Just waiting for a moderator to approve it so it becomes visible over there. I also plugged the WSGF site to try and add a little weight :)

Feel free to create a thread in Lobbying Central with a link to your post on the Team17 forum when it's visible.

Oddly enough, the camera angle is slightly different in non-widescreen ARs, so you actually see a wee bit more on the sides in 16:10 and 16:9 compared to 4:3 - but only the different perspective causes this: the HFOV is the same, the VFOV is narrower.

And now for some tallscreen lovin'...
