I've been unable to get the BF2 demo to work in widescreen. As someone else pointed out on this board, the "real" place that the video settings are stored are under My DocumentsBattlefield 2 DemoProfilesDefault

I changed VideoSettings.setResolution to 1024x640@60Hz. Now the game crashes to desktop before even getting to the menus. Anyone have any luck getting this to work? I've also tried other 16x10 resolutions with the same result. 4x3 resolutions seem to work fine.

I’m seeing that some people cant even run her at 1280X1024, that’s really kind of funny. Very common rez.

What’s even funnier is how a game like Giants Citizen Kabuto supports 1680X1050, and how many years old is that hehe? And a new A+ title like this cant......some funny shit p: hehe.. I hope I can get this thing to work errrr...

I would also like to find out how to play this game in ws mode as my monitor dell 2005fpw does not support any resolution other than 1680x1050 and I dont feel like lugging my 50lb 4x3 out of my closet and onto my desk. The notion that widescreen is cheating is bunk, If it is cheating, then call me a cheater at these games: UT2k4, Americas Army, CS & CSS, Far Cry.. the list goes on. Im really steamed about this.
