I have a monitor that supports up to 1440 x 900 and I want to play FIFA 07 at that resolution because it only lets me choose up to 1024x 768, and it looks pretty bad. So I found a fix to get 1440 x 900, and tried all the steps up until the one to change the FOV with the hexeditor, but I still only at 1024 x 768.

Here's a link to the solution, http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/6835

So my question is where is the game root folder, and what kind of file is it that you're supposed to create and name locale.ini?

I'm new at this stuff so any help would be great.

Okay, I downloaded it and opened it, but I don't think I did something right. I copied the patcher and the FIFA 07 file into the FIFA 07 directory, and then used the patcher, but when I started FIFA 07, it was still the same resolution from before except it was VERY slow, so I went back to the original file.

Any idea what I did wrong?

Weird, here's a screenshot of the game in 2560x1600:

What version are you running ? Installed any patches ? What resolution ?

And pleaseeee read the readme file or on my website for the instructions.. Everyone seems to forget renaming the original file before coping the patcher/exe..

There are two version for FIFA 07.. Version 1.0 and 1.1.. If you don't copy the EXE file that came with the RAR file, it will patch the wrong offset.. I've made a patch for v1.1 also..

But still READ the readme included in the rar file or check my site:

Okay, there we go, I was running version 1.1, the new patch worked great, I'm running at 1440x900 and I haven't come across any problems.

Thanks a lot Squ1zzy, awesome work.

Yet, I do believe if you used the exe provided in the rar that it had to work.. Well, it works great now.. Have Fun !
