I am attempting to play Knights Of The Old Republic, and of course I want to have the full broad vista of a widescreen experience.

I've gotten the WSGF steps for this game done with UNIWS, up to step three. But I must confess I have never even seen a Hex Editor and I am not sure how to proceed.

I downloaded the first thing that *I think* is a hex editor, called Hex Workshop. It came up on top in a Yahoo search, and beyond that I'm not sure it's what I need or not.

The trouble is in finding the values. When I, as the instructions in step three suggest, "Search for the following values..." I am unable to find them. There are numerous variables here that I don't even know how to approach, so I must turn once again to the fine folks at WSGF for assistance. I've used the "find" feature in this program but it does not find the values in question.

If I could ask for a little hand holding here, could someone recommend a hex editor, and also give the values for a 1680 x 1050 setting? And possibly tell me how to find the values I need to change?

As always, thanks for all the help, now and over the years.

UPDATE - I have started the game and it appears that all the of the steps have been taken care of automatically. I'll report back if that turns out to be incorrect.

The movies won't take care of themselves. If they fixed resolution that they display at is not a problem than you really don't need to do anything more.
