Has anyone had any luck with a widescreen solution for Full Spectrum Warrior? I've poked around with it a bit and haven't had any luck.

I had a look and like you're self couldn't get the WS support option. I will contiune untill I have a solution for this game. Anyone else want to jump in and have a crack?

Much like Silent Hunter III you can use the dx9 hack to run it at whatever resolution you like, but you can't change the FoV. I've tried 1600x1200 and 1920x1200. Truthfully the tiny bit of stretching I stopped noticing after a few minutes of gameplay.

from the SHIII solution thread:

"Anyhow, enough about me: the game. The hack on the link listed above WORKS. You need to download this DX9 tool and drop it in your Silent Hunter 3 install directory. You set the resolution in d3d9.cfg (that's the key). Then run the game, and it's running at that resolution.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an FOV trick... i checked all the games .CFG files and there's nothing. To be honest, the FOV is already quite wide in the game (in free eye mode: above water) so you dont need it.


So YES it supports widescreen, but theres no extra FOV so image is slightly stretched. However it's still VERY playable and to be honest i didn't notice the stretching; ...

Pretty everything said there applies for FSW.

What I can't seem to make work is antialiasing on this game. No matter what settings I use, there are still considerable jaggies in game.
