I'm pretty sure this is 1.0e (anti-cheat version of 1.0c) internally checking whether it is 'unchanged' - it isn't, obviously, therefore reporting 1.0c (possibly cheaty version) instead of 1.0e. Only the author of 1.0e can help me with this, I'm afraid...

awww :(

if I get a chance I'll have a look and see if I can track them down... I think it was released in '04 though so this might be tricky.

Thanks for the reply though :)

Uhm, what do I need to download? The links on the first page are all broken.

Also, I see this pink in the blank areas in the screenshots, is there any way to fix that?

Get the MSI, first link in the start post. It's not dead.
The pink has been solved a long long time ago.

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://www.boekabart.net/aoe2wide/latestpatcher/AoE2WideSetup.msi might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

More information on this error
Below is the original error message

Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown error.

Erm.

You should have some mirrors up on sites like mediafire :x

That server is in a reliable datacenter, so no I don't _should_ have some mirrors up. I can currently download the link from a proxy in the US, from my (EU) home, from my (EU) work. So I'm pretty sure it's your ISP or so messing this up.

That :x was supposed to be a :x, gave my post the wrong tone.

It's always a good idea to have mirrors, because regardless of where it is, it might still go down or be inaccessible. Your server attacks me when I connect, causing my firewall to block it, which is why I can't download (Not my fault your server is being evil)

You don't have to, I'm just saying it would be a really good idea to have a mirror on a public host. (and mediafire is one of the best public hosts, especially for small files)

I've got it downloaded now regardless, thanks.

Hi, i installed the AgeOfEmpires WideScreenPatch. If i start the widescreener, i get the message: No original exe found for patch file ...
I know, this is only a warning, but i have no batch-file. Where is the Batch file? There is no exe for my 1920x1080 Resolution, too.

I have the conquerors-expansion 1.0c and windows 7 x64.

PS: Sorry for my bad english

Edit: I have a nocd-Patch installed. Is this a porblem?

I think the x64 may the problem: I think it just doesn't find the original game folder so easily. (smth with program files and program files (x86))... could you copy the whole aoe2wide installation to a sub folder of where the game is?
If that doesn't help, copy the whole contents of the window you get, and send this to me in a DM.

Not at all, it's even a must!
