Hopefully this will be fixed with patch so widescreen res work but do you have an nvidia card? If so, do you see that effect when you turn off scaling or set to fixed aspect scaling? I would prefer that over windowed. Update : Or can you run widescreen resolution in window? That may be more useful than 4:3 nostretch. |

FOV can be changed in the console, but makes the screen go strange. Anamorphic widescreen can be enabled via another console command. Resolution is hard coded and cannot be changed at the present time. :( Makes me wonder... why bother using the Source engine if you're going to disable one of the most useful features of it? |

I think I've found a solution. :) Patching manually is explained there (could be useful):  http://www.forumplanet.com/planetvampire/topic.asp?fid=9643&tid=1735448 and the patch itself is there:  http://www.fileplanet.com/files/150000/156598.shtml (very painful to download though...) |

Just out of curiosity, I thought I heard something about the company or publisher who made this game going into bankruptcy. Does anyone have any info on that? |

Yeah - Troika games closed it's door quite a while back. Hit the Planet Vampire pages for more info (there are several items in the 'News'...) http://www.planetvampire.com/ |

Hmm, I tried the patcher, but the game refuses to run at 1680x1050, with my monitor displaying 'Out of Range'. Also, 1280x800 won't show up for the selectable resolutions. I end up having to run the game at 1280x1024 with r_anamorphic "1". :? |

Can you get it working with a manual hack? (Using XVI32 to edit the relevant file...) |
