When helifax gets online I'm going to work with him to bring the plugin up-to-date.

Yay!! I Love you guys....I'd love to keep throwing money at you and Helifax, but I gave up a $100.00 donation last time, and I was kinda hoping that would stretch out a little while :P But in saying that, I will keep throwing money at all the talent here as you are all the reason I can even use this overpriced rig in all its glory!

Anyone using the Origin version 1.0.1, I need you to do something for me.

  • Download Cheat Engine.

  • Start Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

  • Start Cheat Engine.

  • Click the computer icon in the upper-left corner of Cheat Engine and open the Reckoning.exe process.

  • Now click Memory View in Cheat Engine.

  • In the window that opens up, in the menu bar go to Tools -> Pointer Scan (or just press Ctrl+P).

  • In the next window that opens up, in the menu bar go to Pointer scanner -> Scan for pointer (or just press Ctrl+P).

  • In this window, click the Value to find: radio button.

  • In the textbox directly below it put the horizontal resolution of the game.

  • At the bottom of this window change Max level from 5 to 2.

  • Press OK and let it search.

  • Once it finishes it should show a lengthy list of data.

  • Leaving all of the Cheat Engine windows open, quit the game.

  • Start the game again.

  • In Cheat Engine click the computer icon again and open the Reckoning.exe process.

  • Go back to the Pointer Scan window with all of the addresses shown.

  • Go to the menu bar and choose Pointer scanner -> Rescan memory (or press Ctrl+R).

  • In this window, click the Value to find: radio button.

  • In the textbox directly below it put the horizontal resolution of the game.

  • Press OK and let it search.

  • When it finishes look through the list for a pointer with an Offset 0 of 68 and an Offset 1 of 20.

  • Once found, post the Base Address for the offsets above.

The Steam base address is "Reckoning.exe"+007F948C.

They need to update the plugin/wsf. I'm having the same problem too. I'm sure this will be fixed in a day or two.

Hi the tool was never intended for single monitor...that is why the Eyefish effect..try lower your FOV alot:) For the newest plugin update, dopefish is re-writing the plugin for the latest version of his tool;)) I believe when it is done he will post it here;)) or on WSF site;))

Best Regards,
Helifax

I'm using the plugin and it works, using origin and a single display 1920x1080 but there's a few step to make it work,
1. after activating the plugin in-game, i have to zoom in then zoom out and the result is fisheye effect also the character in the menu is smaller
2. then i hit the activating button again, the the result is much more acceptable which only when i'm using a very strange setting in the widecreen fixer plugin
the setting are : 12 for FOV and a 9600 by 1080
( the value in FOV doesn't seem have an effect for me, so i try changing the hoz value which is 9600=1920*5)

the reason is when i'm using 60-90 for FOV and 1920x1080 the result were ok in-game but very zoom-out view in cut-scene and a very small character avatar in menu.

ps: i can upload the screen for comparison, after i get home

update:
[spoiler]
plugin off

plugin on

I had trouble the last days because my origin version didnt quite want to synergize with the initial mod + the plugin.

I've downloaded the updated fixer (15.02.2012) and the latest plugin included in this particular thread (bla_1)

The exact same error:

Plugin.Kingdoms of Amalure Reckoning.dll, API Version: 2.0
Required API VErsion 2.1
The application will now exit.

Seen this issue posted on a couple of others forums, but no solution yet. Is there any workaround?

Appreciate any help.

Btw: First post and gotta tell you one thing - Awesome efforts and awesome forum ;)

Regards

Hi! Only solution at the moment is to use the plugin from this page with version r312 or older of WSF that can be found here, until the plugin will be re-written:
http://www.widescreenfixer.org/old.php

Hope this helps,
Helifax
