Unfortunately the FOV doesn't get adjusted ... so it just stretched to fill the screen ... :(

Screenshots ...

Click on the thumbnail to see larger shot ...

4:3

16:10

So that means te solution hiddensphinx posted doens't work at all, or does it do something. If the thing still stretches it means that it's still running at a 4:3 res, or am i crazy?

Why am i crazy  , the cars look really stretched on the 16:10 pic, so the resolution hasn't changed isn't it? So what does the fix do :? Or are the cars less stretched then when you just use 1280x1024 or some other 4:3 res.

It was just a joke ... :D

But .... the first screenshot is at a 4x3 resolution ... the second is at a 16:10 resolution and the FOV is no different to the 4:3 shot ... :(

So although the resolution has changed the view has not and so it looks stretched.

That's a real brainbreaker, or how do you english guys call that. So you up the res but nothing changes. Ow man, i thought i uderstood the widescreen thing now, but i guess i still got to study on it longer.

ps. i know it was a joke, that's why the smilie was behind it. 8)

This happens in lots of games ... some have a way to alter the FOV some don't.

Some change the res but the FOV looks zoomed or the top and bottom get chopped ... like Battlefield 2

If you take Doom 3 for example it has a way to change the res and the FOV/aspect ratio ... but if you just changed the res you would end up with the view from 4:3 stretched to the widescreen res.
