Hi, all! I have a Samsung Syncmaster 205BW (1680 x 1050). I really like this monitor but still getting used to it.

I have a question about the solutions for Doom 3, Quake 4, and Prey. After editing the config.sys, am I done? In other words, will the game(s) start with the customized settings? Or, am I supposed to choose the newly customized settings in the System Tabs in each game? Also, what about AA/AF? If I customize these and click "Apply" within the games, will this somehow override the custom settings I did for resolution? In other words, will the revert back or something?

Also, my screen appears to be jerky when I move around with the mouse in these games. Other games (King Kong for example) works fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot. It's good to have found this place. Looks like a real quality board here. :)

You may want to enable vsync to try and solve the "jerky screen" issue - but make sure your refresh rate is above 60 or you'll only be able to get a max of 60fps

Thanks. Question: I didn't think you were supposed to mess with the refresh rates on LCD Widescreen monitors? I think my native resolution is 1680 x 1050 at 60.

Well i find that i prefer higher refresh rates even though the native is 60 - i cant see it bothering the monitor.
