Hello there,

On Gillys reccomendation, i was thinking of getting a new widescreen monitor.

I'm looking to spend up to £300, but i also want the best performance.

I currently play competetive CSS at 1280 * 1024 ( 1310720 pixels)

1440*900 would be 1296000 pixels, and a 1650 would be 1764000 pixels.

My question is, would i see a noticeable drop from 1280 to 1650?

3500+
1GB
X850XT AGP

Currently runs source at 80-100fps usually.

Thanks,

DuFF

You mean fps? If yes, I don't think so. Maybe 10-15 fps in CSS. Not more in my opinion.

Aye, you'll be fine. I had a bit of a drop when I upgraded to widescreen, but it wasn't substantial, and with the FPS range you're currently getting you won't find things noticably worse. Of course, the heavier graphical effects suffer more with an increase in res, but somehow I doubt a person playing competetive CSS would have HDR enabled. :)
