Hello, First time poster so forgive my noobness.

My current set up:
Samsung HL-5067W DLP HDTV - Manual
Radeon 9800 pro - Manual

A resolution of 1024x768 works great via a VGA cable. However I was hoping to get a higher widescreen resolution. I can get 1152x648 (1280x720 optimized for overscan) to work but everything looks vertically stretched. The questions I have:

1) Is it suppose to look vertically stretched?
2) Can I achieve a better resolution with my TVVideo Card set up?

My TV's manual states that the available resolutions is 1920x1080i and 1280x720p but down in the notes it states "The interlace mode is not supported"
3) Does this mean I can't do a 1920x1080 resolution on my TV?

My goal is to play WoW in the best widescreen resolution available to me.
4) Any ideas how to achieve that?

Thank you,
Mark

the overscan resolution may be throwing WoW off into not using widescreen aspect ratio. What happens in 1280x720?

Obviously since the 1080 mode isn't supported, you cant go any higher then what you are at now.

I don't think it's wise to even use a non-type computer monitor for gaming... Especially cuz of those widescreen formats. You'll see different things, and you sitting next to a plasma isnt very smart. It'll be grainy.
