I was wrong on both counts. The widescreen is perfect.
Are you changing the shortcut to the game?
This is what I have
"F:SimCity 4 DeluxeAppsSimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1200

I've found a working solution for SimCity4 (incl. RushHour & Deluxe). Change your windows shortcut to: "C:ProgrammeMaxisSimCity 4 DeluxeAppsSimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32 -f -intro:off |

that would be great! i have the deluxe version (german). i will have a try after work. ;-) windows shortcut means the shortcut on my desktop? no changes in any other file or anything?? why do you need to turn the intro off? thanks a LOT for help :-) |

Of course. The game does not support native widescreen so all icons will stretch. I will check the game later tonight about the stretching. I thought it would be Vert -. |

looks good. i tried the line again, and it worked. 1680x1050 and no icon stretch. in the optionmenu none of the standard-resolution is marked now, every other option is on "high" and "full detail". BUT: allthough i have the nvidia 8800 gts 640mb in a three day old gaming computer, the performance is really bad. the game is from 2003 and a 2007 gaming-pc can't handle it. i can't believe it! :-( |

It should not be that bad. Are you moving the screen at max zoom? That is where it would be the most sluggish. |
