Hello. I love the site.

I recently purchased a Sony FW900 CRT and am in the process of converting all my games (500+) to widescreen if possible. I picked up Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper from the UK and have been trying to get a 1920x1200 resolution.

The game only supports 4:3 in the configuration menu. The highest resolution it lists is 1920x1440. When running at this resolution the vertical will be squished.

I tried hex editing the graphics.cfg file. I found the values for the resolution but when changed the game always defaults to 640x480.

I then tried using the Universal Resolution Changer v2 and had better results. Leaving the game configured at 1920x1440 the screen would display perfectly (1920x1200)but the bottom of the image is cropped.

I switched the game configuration to 640x480 and had different results. Like using the KOTOR widescreen patch the HUD does not stretch or scale but remains fixed. There is also rendering abnormalities with the non-HUD part of the screen during play. The HUD part of the screen displays fine. The screen is supposed to go darker when a Musou move is activated (I think).

Since the vert I am changing to is 1200 I switched the game configuration to 1600x1200 and had better results. This is very similar to the KOTOR HUD and is playable. The rendering problem is still present but not as distracting.

Movies are OK.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Suggestions to fix the rendering problem? Thanks!
