hello everyone,

i recently purchased 2xdell 2209wa and i would like to test out or even play crysis or warhead on dualscreen to see it perform on my computer.

but i cannot figure out how to do that exactly...

here is my computer spec if needed:

vista 64-bit
intel core 2 duo e7400 @ 3.4ghz
p5ql pro
8gb ram
ati hd4850 1gb

using ati catalyst ver. 0.4 and i have directx 10.

i do not have triplehead nor do i plan to get one anytime soon, cause it is out of my budget. i was wondering if it is even possible to run crysis/warhead on dual screen (2 monitors 1 big picture split). the native res for both monitor is 1680x1050, so in total it will be stretch together as 3360x2100 ingame?

i've tried google and search everywhere and i cannot find a how-to-tutorial to get this to work.

thank you all in advance for your assistance :)

I don't know why you would possibly want to run an fps game on only two monitors, as the crosshair would be directly where the bezel is...

I'm not sure about the ATI cards, but Nvidia has an option called "span" in which two monitors of equal resolution are viewed in the system as a single monitor, which enables things such as what you're describing.

I'm not sure if ATI can, but if IIRC my old laptop enabled me to.

But (again, IIRC) I'm pretty sure you can't do it in Vista.

(Trying to remember from two years past).

Try the display manager window. Right click on one of the monitors, see what options it gives you.
