Does this exist anywhere ? i`ve tried searching the forum for the keywords in the topic subject (using either 'fov' or 'camera', but i didn`t use them simultaneously, like i did in the subject)

Anyway, you should make a section for nfs underground 2 in the widescreen games list and mention that uniws can help with playing it in widescreen (at the moment, there is no mention whatsoever of underground 2 or underground 1 in the widescreen games list, not even in the retired hacks list)

Also, i`d appreciate if there is any tool to make the minimap look normal, because when you use uniws it messes it up, as in, it becomes wide and blurry

Hi there,
For a game entry to be added to the Wiki, some basic info is required:
-what does it take to make the game work in widescreen?
-comparison screenshots
If you can provide these, please post them here or as a Confirmed Solution and the Wiki will be updated accordingly ;)

Well, it`s actually fairly easy if you are familiar with the Uniws tool:

You select the game from the dropdown list of games, and then you can either browse and point to the folder of the game`s executable or just use the very helpful 'Find it for me' button. The latter option may take a bit long depending on how big your hard disk is, because the search engine takes the drives in alphabetical order, so if you have the game installed in say, drive G: or H: , then you might wanna do the browsing manually.

After pointing the program to the executable`s folder (if you did it right you should see the 'Screen Width' and 'Height' fields as being filled and not empty like they were, usually with the default 640x480 resolution), now you can replace the default resolution values with the new resolution you`d like to use. In my case I had to type 1366 and 768 (ratio aspect=16.9)

Then you start up your game and go to the Options menu and change the game to 640x480 resolution and it should run in your assigned resolution.

Here are some screenshots too:

This is 4:3 ratio (1024x768)

This is 16:9 ratio (1366x768)

The MGL classification is Vert- unfortunately (like most, if not all, of the other NFS games) and the HUD gets stretched (this was actually what i meant by my first post, here the minimap doesn`t look so bad but in drift and streetx races i think it looks very blurry, so i was looking for some hack or something to make it look normal).

Feel free to let me know if i posted too much or too less info. For now I think I covered the things you asked for.
Glad to be able to give something back to this very helpful community and forum.

Sorry for the late update - Confirmed Solution posted, so the game should be added to the Wiki shortly.
If you can run the game windowed, could you try some wider-than-16:9 resolution (1366x480 or sth) and post a screenshot ? So that we have a basic idea of what to expect at multi-monitor resolutions. Of course, chances are gameplay will be badly Vert-, but hard facts are better than speculation ;)

Well, how do i force the game to run in windowed mode ? I`ll have to assume I`d need a 3rd party tool, because in the game options there is no option to run it in windowed mode.
In FRAPS there is no option to run applications in windowed mode (I have the unregistered version though)

Nevermind then. I think I have the game somewhere... Will give it a try myself, eventually.

The updated hack can't be disabled :?: Hitting NumPad / only disables the +/- keys but does not return the FOV to its default setting.
Other than that, great update ! I had prepared a whole Confirmed Solution using the old hack, now I just have to start over

Hack added to the Racer_S wiki page under FOV Hacks.

Edit: widescreen solution rewritten, multi-mon solution added, wiki updated.
