Hi all...

Simple issue here, although very annoying.

My Nvidia GeForce GTX 780Ti runs my game rig very well. (surround setup 5760x1080) All the games I play (using fws) display fine across the three monitors... except one to date. For reasons that I cannot explain, Alien Isolation has just one issue, it causes the third monitor (on the far right ) to loose its signal for 1 - 2 seconds every so often, (goes blank) it then pops back and all is well until the next time.

I have the monitor order as 2 - 1 - 3. This is so that the windows desktop defaults to the centre one.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening. As I stated, it is only (to date) affecting Alien Isolation, all the other games run fine.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi...

The monitors all have HDMI inputs. Of the three outputs from the GPU, the display port, dvi(d) and hdmi, the one having the blank issue is on the HDMI to HDMI. (I tend to doubt that this is a cause though, as I said, due to it only being 'Alien Isolation' that has the blanking problem)

Well I certainly don't know what's causing the problem in this particular game, but I've learnt to avoid HDMI like the plague in multi-monitor configurations. Too many weird sync/color/scaling issues. If your third monitor has any other input, getting a basic HDMI-to-whatever cable just might do the trick.
