Hello everyone.

Previously, I was playing Caramageddon 2 on my Vista system with a Samsung Syncmaster 941BW. Even though I never figured out how to get sound using Vista, I was happy with the way the video stretched to fill my 1440x900 screen (even though the cars looked a bit flatter).

Now I've started using a Samsung Syncmaster 923NW, and the game just won't stretch to fill the entire screen. Now I get black bands on both sides and it plays like on an old monitor.

I've looked around for a solution, but without luck. Using an Nvidia 8400GS card with the latest drivers, but still can't find anyway to stretch the picture during the game.

Anyone have a possible solution to this?

By the way, I'm also having the same problem with Painkiller (Demo). It won't stretch to fill the screen either.

Thanks.

There must be a "flat panel scaling" or "desktop size & position" section in the Nvidia Control Panel. You can let the driver stretch a 4:3 picture over your 16:10 panel from there.
