I just got this game. Apparently it's made with UE3, can easily force it to use a surround resolution but it's zoomed in and the menus are stretched. The menus aren't much of a problem because there isn't even a HUD to worry about, but the zooming is, I know it's a common UE3 thing because it uses vert-, any chance of a fix for this?

You could try some ini edits.
Search for some other UE3 games (mind path to thalamus iirc) and check their DR.
I'm not on my PC right now so I can't tell you which file and which line is for FoV.

I've looked at that, I found fov in UDKEngine.ini however changing it from 90 to something else like 120 doesn't make a difference in the game, same with BaseEngine.ini in a different folder. I thought AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV might have something to do with it but changing it to False didn't do anything. I'm at a loss.

AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

Is what you're looking for!
Making it scale to 5760 and not to 1080!

not sure but i think there are 2 AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV in 2 different files around.
1. is basic settings and 2. is current user settings.
if it doesn't work it's either broken in this game or the wrong file :)

I've gotten it to work for the most part. I changed AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV to AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV in BaseEngine.ini as you mentioned, which worked. Except then it was way too zoomed out, with heavy fisheye even in the middle screen, changing the fov angle in the .ini files does nothing. Bringing up the console using the tidle key and typing for example 'fov 90' while in game changes it, I've found 70 to work the best for me. Changing the resolution to surround or even just more than 1080p is as simple as changing the line in UDKSettings.ini for anyone wondering. Thanks for your help Haldi.
