just wondering..

as my monitors native resolution is 1920x1200 eyefinity seems to force it to 5760x1200.

though all my monitors are able to run at 1680x1050 and 1440x900. I can not get eyefinity on triplehead 1050 or 900

I am uncertain as to how Catalyst control panel handles adding custom resolutions, but have you tried to define a custom resolution for those screens at that then try to enable EyeFinity?

I think I tried that, I set all my independant monitors to 1680x1050 then I went to enable eyefinity it just uses my max resolution of 3x1920x1200

the reason I want 4320x900 is for crysis (amoung other high demanding games). because at 5760x1200 it is 15fps. if I can get it to run at 4320x900 then I can probably get a playable 30fps. (in theory)

Would hope that Eyefinity is not locked to native resolution of the monitors - would assume and hope that you can set the resolution to lower (respecting aspect ratio)

Hopefully this will be addressed in a driver update soon - it seems quite important and high priority to me.

Well the first drivers are still in beta, they havent finished yet so this kinda bug would be expected..

Have you tried turning eyefinity on and using a tool like Atitool or trying to create a custom resolution after?

I was working on building up to triplehead setup, I just finished my main setup (a couple of months ago)

I was targeting TH2Go so I currently have two monitors that support native 1050, i was looking at picking up the TH2Go and a third monitor, but then i saw the release of this card, it has me rethinking the TH2go. I am playing the waiting game, i will not buy (of at least i do not want to) 3 new monitors. I really really hope 3x1050 gets supported.

Waiting to see how things unfold over the holidays.

I do not have an EF card but from what Dave B says it will be OK at 5040 if that is the max res of your monitor it seems that people with 1920 monitors are unable to select 1680x3. This is the impression I have got from a lot of posts.

"Let's face it Anti-aliasing is much more important that resolution." - opinion

I run GTA IV in Th2go at 4320x900, even though I could run it at 5040x1050 because it's much more playable at that resolution.

I appreciate what ATI is doing by trying to make triplehead accessible, but they really need to work on some of the features. They're offering a lot of things that Matrox doesn't have and NOT offering all the nice things that Matrox does have. Examples:

EF
+ supports 5760x1200 and 5040x1050 at 60 Hz
+ no need to mess with extra software
- no support for lower than native res
- no support for XP
- no support for CrossFire
- no support for Bezel Management

Th2Go
+ XP
+ SLI and CrossFire
+ Bezel management
- extra software
- limited to 5040x1050 @ 57/59 Hz
