It was in a PDF that Dave linked they had 2 monitor recommendations to use for eyefinity, one was the dell2408 I think and the other the "soon to come ultra thin 23" samsung"

I have seen some crazy thin bezel stuff from them so just wondering what this monitor is made up of. If it ends up being a TN panel I wont care, but if it ends up being a nice quality panel that is PVA or IPS and does not break the bank I may have wish I held out on my monitor purchase.

I've just set up my stuff.
Also different sizes, 27" Dell 2709w and two 26" AOC 619fh
A friend came by to give it a try and i just had to hover around him with a camcorder.

I have tried to match the colours on all 3 screens but after spending like 15 min clicking through their osd, i gave up lol

Awesome video. Your setup is similar to mine earlier in this thread. Landscape 3x1 is just so perfect for racing games. You can see further into corners, and just have so much more awareness of the surroundings. I'm not much of a simracer but since getting my Eyefinity setup, I couldn't stop playing Race On/Race 07. I guess it brought out my inner-Schumi. :)

Nice video, looks great. Just a quick question though. I notice there is no steering wheel visible in the ingame cockpit, how did you remove it? Great when you are using a real wheel yourself.

thatdude90210, pretty sweet setup, but that color difference would get to me (it already does, because i have 3 mismatching panels on the 3 of the same model numbers).

Yeah it bugs me as well, much more so than the size difference. It's mostly during replays and such that it bugs me. That's when I usually mess with the color to try to get it better. Luckily during gameplay, I'm mostly focus on the action in the center monitor so the color becomes less an issue.

I would bet that you don't notice the size difference during gaming either. I initially looked at the Dell P2310, because of the displayport, but decided against mixing the P2310's 1920x1080 with the 27's 1920x1200.

Should eyefinity work mixing those resolutions? I'm trying to decide what third monitor I should get, already having 2x24" 1080p Dells.

I've been considering a 2408WFP for a DP monitor, but I'm not sure how that resolution difference is handled.

Yes, Eyefinity would work. But It goes to the highest supported common resolution of all 3. The resolution of each would be 1920x1080 in that case. That means in your case the picture on the 2408 would be stretched just a touch vertically.

Edit: that's for Eyefinity single large surface mode only. For windows extended or single monitor mode, setting 1920x1200 on the 2408 should be no issue.
