i used a 5770 for 3x 1920 x 1200 ... it worked fine for most games like fallout and il2 and BF2 and borderlands.. no problem..

My framerate chugs in certain areas in Borderlands with a 5870 at 3x1920x1200. Most of the time though it stays in the 30s to 40s. That's with all in-game settings maxed.

If you're wanting to do Eyefinity be aware of a few things with the 5770:

1) You MUST have either a DisplayPort enabled monitor or an ACTIVE DisplayPort to DVI adapter, a passive adapter will not work. Expect to spend at least $100 for this, up to $150.

2) Because of the 128-bit memory bus on the 5770, resolutions higher than 1920x1200 in Eyefinity, no matter how many cards you add, will lag.

3) Because of the lower-powered processor, to do res higher than 1024x768 in Eyefinity, you need 2 cards, minimum. I'm able to do 1920x1200 Eyefinity in BFBC2 with a mixture of medium and high settings, 2xAA, 0xAF, with 2x5770 in CFX. 3 cards can push max at 1920x1200 Eyefinity on pretty much anything, but 3 card Crossfire has issues with some games as well as weird problems in the drivers.

Had I known what I know now when I went to build this system, I would have got 2x5850 instead of 2x5770. I had thought I was saving $200 off 1x5870, but between the ACTIVE DisplayPort adapter, and the amount I've had to tweak it to get it working how I'd like, the 5870 or 2x5850 would have been a better deal.

I posted benchmarks for the 5770 in my review of the 5850/5830.

For what it is worth, I'm running a single 5770 with 3 19 inch wide screen monitors and I love it.

I was able to play through AVP Dx11 and SupCom2 with i think max settings and I didn't think the card struggled.

Sure it prob could be faster and i prob could have spent more money but when it comes to money well spent, I'm glad i got an active DP to DVI adapter and two extra monitors rather than a second card for my single monitor. 3x1 is just impressive, even if it isn't the fastest.

I still intend to get a second card as soon as I've the cash, but it has not shown to be totally necessary to me yet. I'm suppose I'm only a casual gamer.

I'm using my single 5770 with 2 X DVI and 1 X DP to VGA(Startech $25). Works perfectly fine with 3 X 1920X1080 Monitors.

With a Good processor the 5770 is enough for a lot of games. i run bad company 2 at 4320x900 max settings hbdao or whatever off 2xaa with 40 fps avg, but thats in dx11 which i get better fps in anyways.

I have a XFX 5770 Also. I play World of Warcraft in ultra settings fine. (except in Dal of course)

I tried Crysis Warhead.. if I have it under "gamer mode" it bogs to about 20-24 FPS.. if i select "enthusiast" setting.. i get above 40 on average.

A 5770 is great in eyefinity for me, 5040x1050. I do have it overclocked, and my phenom II cpu too.

It's not perfect but if it were nobody would buy the faster cards. I find lowering settings works fine, especially AA which is imo pretty overrated past 4xAA anyway.

All the vids I posted here were on a 5770 with a very conservatively overclocked Q6600(2.666) @ 5276(bez) x 1050

Like Jimbo said, tweak the game settings a bit and most games run just fine...
