I hope one of those single GPU 5870 cards can match the power of my single 9800gx2 A single 285gtx is way more powerful than a 9800gx2, even a 8800u also is at very high res, because vram limitations for 9800gx2 (only 512MB framebuffer vs 768 for 8800u and 1GB for 285gtx). |

I'm not holding my breath for a hard launch. Not a 'all cards in the market' launch, anyway... perhaps a 'trickle of cards all selling at hugely inflated prices because everyone wants one' launch... |

Somewhere I did read that stock is supposed to be reaching retailers during the next two weeks, so that when the NDAs expire the product will actually be available. How this actually plays out might be different. |
