Hi,

I currently run 3 monitors with the middle one being a widescreen Dell 30" in landsdcape and the outer 2 are 20 inch 4x3s rotated to portrait. The monitor on the left of center is rotated clockwise to portrait and the one one the right is rotated anticlockwise (because of the thicker lower bezel) in this configuartion they have the same vertical resolution of 1600 as the middle widescreen giving a total desktop of 1200 + 2600 + 1200 horizonatal by 1600 vertical.

My simple qustion is will this configuration work with eyefinity?

Thank in anticipation,
Dan.

In short no, Eyefinity must display the same resolution in each monitor. BUT, SoftTH works with such a configuration and SoftTH 1.7 (I believe) Works with a Single 5000 series card, giving you more horsepower. I know it's not perfect solution, but atm, ATI isn't really even looking to support PLP configurations, or even mixed resolution configurations (Meaning no 1600x1200, 1920x1200, 1600x1200 Configurations either)

Hi,

Thanks for your answer....Damn and blast!

Do you happen to know if thats a hardware limitation or just down to the drivers? And would I be correct to assume that this only applies to games rather than the Windows 7 desktop?

I currently have a HD4870 driving the middle and right screens and a seperate HD2600 driving the left one, they are all shown in CCC. But of course I can only play games on the middle (2560x1600) one. Realised I made a mistake on my original post- I put 2600 rather than the 2560 horizontal pixels for my centre screen.

Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure it's driver related, as for a fix, no where to be seen for a long while. I meant during games btw. Windows desktop can still be used as such.
