I've got a trio of Sony FW900 24" widescreen CRT monitors; actually two are HP A7217As, but same dif. Anyway, I've just read that finally a bezel management feature has been released with this 10.3 driver update, which theoretically would finally allow me to enter into the realm of triple screen gaming! Has anybody else utilized these monitors and the new driver for bezel management with success yet? I haven't thrown down the cash for an appropriately featured video card yet, and would like to be roughly certain that I'll find success before laying down such enormous piles of cashola. |

I am waiting for my DP --> VGA adapter to arrive. In the meantime i have 10.3 running on a 5850 quite nicely. I have the bezel management working with two monitors no problem at the moment. |

Hey man; I'm running 1 FW900 with a pair of LCDs on the sides and it's great; I can't say I've tried 3x however. Sounds like a daunting task power wise. :D I don't use bezel management because frankly it doesn't bother me. I overlap the LCDs over the FW900 bezels, so the effective bezel size is only 1x lcd side bezel. Remember you have a "cheap" bezel management built in.... just change the projection size to be slightly clipped off the sides of the screen. :D (it will impact the aspect ratio) |
