Post subject: | Cloning When using non eyefinity resolutions |
I am using a game that only supports 1920x1200 (It will not run at higher eyefinity resolutions). The problem is that when the game starts using 1920x1200 instead of outputing on a single output on the video card its outputting on all four outputs (I am using an eyefinity 5 vid card). Is there anyway to disable this behavior so when not using eyefinity 'grouped' resolutions it does not clone the image on all ports and only outputs to a single port? |

Disable the eyefinity single large screen (sls), they will be cloned which is what you see. Then you need to extend the monitors in ccc. |

Disable the eyefinity single large screen (sls), they will be cloned which is what you see. Then you need to extend the monitors in ccc. The problem is that I need the single large screen (spanning) so that I only have a single desktop. The problem is that when running non grouped modes I don't want them to be cloned. It is really piss-poor if the display group has to be un-created every single time that I want to get single monitor output? Also extended desktop almost never works with the CCC. I select it and it just goes back (same with windows 7 screen resolution panel). |

Extended Desktop has always worked for me over the years and with various ATI cards and also various Windows OSes. It works well for me now in Windows 7 x64, too. As for switching between modes, just create a Profile in CCC for each setup you wish to use. I created the Profile and then put a shortcut on the Desktop. It's a simple matter of just Double Clicking on that profile to switch between the setups you want to use. I have my Eyefinity as well as a Single Display profile that I use. |
