Hi guys. I got active adapter so I connected and got 3x1L, everything is fine. The problem is that my middle monitor native resolution is 1920x1200 and both side Acer's are 1920x1080 - 1080ps, and I just didn't want to spend extra money since this Dell monitor is still very good even though I've been using it for 6 years.

My question is:

If I set this middle monitor to 1920x1080 by itself it has these nice black frames top and bottom, but if I add all 3 into group the picture in the middle monitor is expanded full screen so 1920x1080 looks expanded up and down since its natural rez is 1920x1200. So picture is not as crisp on the mid monitor.

Is there a way somehow to freeze the resolution on this middle monitor with higher natural resolution to make it go into 1920x1080 mode instead of expanding 1920x1080 into full screen?

Its eyefinity, Radeon HD 6970. Middle Monitor Dell, side monitors 23" Acers.

Please let me know if something is not clear. Hope there is a solution for me.

find your monitors inf file and edit it
or you could try searching the registry for 1920x1200 and deleting those values
(be vary careful and make a backup)

Most Dell monitors have build in scaling. On some of them, its greyed out in the "on screen menu" and you need to go to a non-native resolution (in your case less then 1920x1200) in order to be able to adjust it. If your monitor is set to scale the picture to full screen, it will do so no matter what else you do, so make sure its set to 1:1.
