Post subject:  DP Link Failure

Hi,

I have another "Displayport Link failure" problem.
I am unable to start any application fullscreen.

First of all my system:

Intel I7 920
Asus Rampage 2 Extreme
2x Sapphire HD 5870 Vapor X running Crossfire
3x Asus 23,6 VH242H Monitors
CLUB 3D active Displayport to DVI Adapter
Win 7 x64

I been trying to figure out the Problem with AMD and Sapphire Support for the last few months, no luck so far.
Also talked to CLUB 3D Support and had the adapter replaced.
Both Sapphire Cards have been replaced aswell.

As I said the Monitor connected to the Displayport Adapter will go black everytime I start a application or game in fullscreen.
I tried every driver starting from 10.1 to the current 11.6.....
I did reinstall my windows 7, even with only 1 application installed the screen still goes black when trying to start in fullscreen.
It makes no difference whether or not crossfire is enabled.
I tried every USB Port on my Motherboard and even experimented with an external power source....

I am hopping that maybe someone here has another idea which I may try......
This is really frustrating for me, the only reason I own those 3 monitors and 2 cards is because I tend do do a lot of CAD work...

Have you tried using a different active display port to DVI adapter? I use the Accell Active DP-DVI adapter and it worked well with driver version 10.3. Been having an irregular blink off and on of the DP monitor since upgrading to 11.6 recently though.

The club 3d is just a labeled Accell Active DP-DVI Adapter.
My Displayport Link Failure only occurs when trying to start different games in fullscreen, normal desktop works fine.
