As title said.
I know dp @ DVI (passive) not work
but accidently when I try find good HDMI cable on one website I see picture with HDMI pinout and realized on 18 pin is +5VDC and 17 pin ground
so theoretically should work with cheap dp@hdmi passive adapter.

Also I saw on one movie this one with guy from sapphire said about eyefinity configuration and he shows some adapters (DVI active, VGA passive -- looks like HP, not as many ppl have from monoprice but as we know this "short" adapters works, and last one HDMI passive with short cable)

At all I dont saw this configuration work, so anyone tried?

Recently brought a DP>VGA passive adapter on monoprice(25$)

And it is working nicely!

I sometime have to unplug/plug the DP adapter when i switch profile or boot, but everything's fine after!

Could you please elaborate on why you believe pins 17 and 18 have anything to do with DP -> HDMI? Your leap of logic is lost on me.
