Currently trying to hook up my XFX 7950 to my eyefinity setup. Here are my system specs:

Monitor - 3 x Samsung S23A750D which has 1 x Displayport and 1 x HDMI output (No DVI)(120 Hz)
XFX 7950 - 2 x mini displayport, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DVI

My question is whether it is possible to connect my 3 monitors using 2 x displayport to minidisplay port and 1 x HDMI without any active adapters at all. I don't mind running this at 60 Hz for the time being.
Also im thinking about upgrading to 2x MSI Lightning 7970s (Crossfire) so as to get the full benefits of a 120 Hz eyefinity setup. Is the best way for setting this up through 3 x displayport to minidisplayport?

Not sure but shouldn't HDMI 1.4 and DP1.2 be able to do 1920x1080 120Hz?

And Yes you DONT need n Active(nor passive) adapter for HDMI-->HDMI.

3x DP is Best!

But you wont get 120FPS with 2x 7970 in actual Games in High settings!

Quite sure (after numerous attempts on different HDMI cables and adapters) that HDMI 1.4a doesnt support 120 hz. So i'm good with a 2 x display port and 1 x HDMI connection to all three of my monitors without any active adapters right? Thanks for the advice!

Okay, you're (halfway) right! 1920x1080 doesnt work in 120hz with HDMI1.4a But 720p should work!

How does the 3D Modus of that monitor works ? real 1920x1080 pixel in 60hz just twice i guess ? maybe could work over HDMI in 30hz...

How do DP->dual link DVI adapter work ? can you switch them to dual link DVI--> DP ? your 7950 has an dual link DVI port.

Yup you are absolutely right about the 3D mode for my monitors. I cant connect my monitors using DVI because sadly the S23A750Ds doesnt have a DVI output (stupid i know). So the only way i can connect my 3 monitors is through 2 mini displayport and 1 HDMI. Is it possible?

Yes, it will work! but only 60hz mode, and not 120hz or 3D ! Though i think i heard about running Main Monitor in 120hz and side monitors in 60hz! So better plug HDMI to the side monitor!
But im kinda sure you can't run 3D (Eyefinity) in Sinlge Monitor it will(should) work over DP.
