well take a wild guess nvidia new drivers fixed the problem old drivers are the shit ty all for the HELP

Depends for what, I used to be able to fix the 'test failed' crap by putting in a standard res. instead of native, not only has the test failed not been fixed in the 190.x versions but they actually managed to remove the fix I had found.

Now I can't create custom resolutions at all.

Hi titus ,
I managed to get my GTX280 to play ball with the 182.08 Niv driver. But lost the ability to get it to go again . I eventually tried the 180.48 and that was the one that still works for me :D

2 other things to keep your eyes open for are :
1/ Device Manager Section make sure there is only 1 Matrox Device and that the driver is the correct one - 1.0.0.4
2/ Try uninstalling the matrox drivers , do all the manual entry for the nividea card , run the test , see if it at least lets you run that driver test successfully . Then, when you're happy ....start on the matrox drivers .
It was the Beta that eventually worked with the 180.48.
I know my system is a bit different to yours , but it does show that the lastest niv driver is not always the best !
Hope this helps

Vista32 , GTX280 , SamsungBW2253 , Matrox TH2GDE
