Benji, Im in Weymouth..
Thanks for the offer on the 720, but I am going to perservere with the GT750...
Set up so far seems to be working well with FSX, looks amazing with Hawk 2 (but joystick deadzone on that game makes it suck to fly).
I added a gt440 nvidia card and now have the 4th monitor with guages for the dodosim bell, but only works in windows mode with window undocked and dragged to 4th monitor (no 3d)..If I then click alt enter to go back to full screen I get 3d on main 3 screens but 4th monitor now shows windows desktop, guages vanish.. Im sure with eyefinity the guages used to remain when going back to full screen..
Also looking good is Blackshark 1/2, and dcs A10 but all needed their .cfg files tweaking for FOV, Take on Helicopters on a quik look seems to be working althogh I found that if in windows with my resoloution set to 5,760 x 1080, take on helicopters will load but winows descktop is still displayed and the mouse has no effect, I can here the music playing but no image.. I then use taskmanager to close TOH (Take on Helicopters ) .. Go into nvidia control panel and change windows res to 3840 x 720, then the game will load as normal..
Thought I must mention that all games have to be set to 3840 x 720 to avoid getting the red warning text up from nvidia.. allthough the 3x gt750 have a res of 3840x800 but I assume this is due to using the asus.inf driver and there is no fix..
Decided on 3 screen sizes of 1280mm x 720mm in the end, I did have 910mm wide but just found the screens to narrow in height.. I tried 3x1 portraight but did not like that too much screen completely filled my forward vision but the sides periferal fell short.. 5x1 would have worked but that would mean no 3d, and now I have tried 3d I dont want anything else..
I see amd drivers have been updated to allow 3 screen HD3D, unfortunately TRIdef does not support multimonitor yet so thats a no go.. If AMD release a driver that allows 5x1 portraite HD3D and tri def supports multiscreen, that might be worth a go..
What I am trying to achieve if a fully immersive experience so when looking straight ahead I see nothing but screen, I could move the projectors back that would create a bigger screen size but at the same time my cockpit instruments, or car cockpit become huge and out of scale..a set of 3 screens 1280mmx 1000mm would probably achieve the correct FOV but dont think that can be achieved..
I have an Obutto sim rig arriving tomorrow so will set it up with the screens and try some driving games, dirt 3, need for speed ect..
Remember if you have any ideas or things I should try chime in..
