AmbX is known to come with a noticable framerate hit. While this isn't too bad on its own, it will be coupled with the significant framerate hit from Triplehead. You're going to need a beefy video card my friend. Other than that you shouldn't have to much trouble with it.

I think scavvenjah, one of our mods, has an AmbX setup. He might be able to give you some hints and tips.

And by the way - can I crop image if FPS for example in some game is too low?

Let's sey I have 3x22 and so 5040x1050 res natively. Can I switch to 4800x1024 or 4200x1050 but have in result smaller image but not the same size with worse quality?

You can run the game in a window with a smaller resolution, or use digital scaling tools if your graphics card supports them (I have absolutely no idea if the TH2Go does though...)

And yes, you can run at a smaller resolution (windowed or not) for better framerates.

What is "digital scaling tools"? Just now I have single 8800GTX and a single 22' monitor.
Just for now I allready ordered TH2GO Digital and 2 more 22' monitors. I know that ATI card's do not support 3x1680x1050 res so I'll buy NV 295 or 2xNV280 I think.
Is NVidia drivers support that digital scaling tools? And do they can help to get cropped image with black lines in background instead of win desktop like if I am using "window" option in the game?

P.S.: Sorry for my english

And in addition:
I read a lot of threads here. Surround Gaming community is really big and friendly. A lot of members have already tried Matrox TH2GO vs. SoftTH. Just now is the stage when I can cancel my order (TH2GO), save 360$ and use SoftTH instead.

I know that SoftTH allow using different res monitors but do not allow of using SLICrossfire technology. TH2GO can only handle max 3x1680x1050 res but we can use SLICrossfire with it.

Question is only in difference in quality of implementation TripleHead gaming. I know that TH2GO support more number of games and you don't need to search for settings each time you want to play new game (with SOftTH you must) - that is big plus! But what about image stretch, HUD stretch and position of my HUD? I'd like my HUD to be in a primary monitor - that is much more comfortable than look aside and search for it on side monitors.
Is there some ideas?

to your questions about softth: if you want to go triplehead, the dth2go is the way to go, because the number of games supported is way higher ... about 20+ games with softth and 250+ with dth2go. furthermore softth has a huge impact on your framerate as far as ive heard.

about implementation of surroundgaming: like written above, its about 250 games, but be aware - most come with the so called "fisheye-effect" (fov distortion at the outer edges), though it exists already in 4:3 resolutions, the extreme field of view of dth2go makes it more visible.
now if you want to have your hud in games in the center-monitor it gets more difficult. wow for example makes it easy with the customization as far as i know, but in other games it gets more difficult, especially shooters. there are some hacks on the net, most likely even here on the board.
