Post subject:  Issues Powering While Powering up.

Sorry this may be a bit vague but im deployed and dont have my computer here to trouble shoot.

Issue: Monitors will not power up when computer is turned on.

Possible Cause of Problem: I have a Koolance 1200 watt liquid cooled power supply that feeds my computer continuous power even when it is shut down. This causes my matrox triplehead2go box to not turn off. Ie: monitors shut off but the light on the matrox box goes orange. When i go to start my computer up i have to crawl behind my computer pull the power out of the matrox box .. wait for a min then plug it back in... hit the power button on the computer then hope everything kicks in.. if not .. rinse and repeat until i get a successful boot up.

Has this been an issue for anyone else using a continuous PSU? or maybe even the same issue period?

Ill be home from the war in about 2 weeks and im looking for a cheap solution to this problem like hopefully a driver of some sorts.. because my PSU costed me $500 it will not be cheap to replace by any means

I had a similar issue, but it was because it was plugged into a powered hub. I had initially set it up connected directly to the PC, then plugged it into the hub when I re-ran wires. Same issue.

Well this is a start.

Not sure what you mean by powered hub, could you be more specific.

Right now my PSU is directly plugged into my wall outlet. And my Matrox box is plugged in via USB directly to my motherboard.

thx Killabee

Ok now that its not 11pm at night here i think i understand what your saying.

Ill try out a few other USB ports and see if that works.

What port exactly did you use?

This is exactly the hub I was using.

I had the same issue before the last firmware update I did. Basically, if your motherboard retains power to usb devices when in soft off then the dTH2Go may not start properly with the next boot since it hasn't had a complete power cycle.

I had to do the same, i.e. pull the usb plug and then plug it back in before powering up. However, as said, with the last firmware update I did, I think they introduced a reset cycle so that on boot up the TH2Go now restarts properly. At least, it does for me.

If this doesn't fix it then see if your motherboard BIOS allows you to switch off USB power when in soft off, may just be a motherboard header. Didn't have either option on mine.
