Just seeing if anybody else has issues with Alan Wake in multi-monitor.

To me it seems like its a issue with drivers or compatibility and not raw hardware power. I have two 5870's in crossfire and it goes from super smooth maxed out on one screen to not even playable on the lowest settings in eyefinity, even a reduced eyefinity resolution seems to not help any.

I'd love to play this one in eyefinity since its such a environmental game.

I get a steady playable framerate in Alan Wake on nVidia Surround (5760x1200, GTX680) can't remember what the fps was, as I was too busy playing to care. :D

Hmm I am at a loss then, maybe the next driver update will fix it. Though I think everybody I have seen play multi monitor has used Nvidia or non Crossfire AMD.

Alan Wake has forced AA on it. On release day, I wasn't able to find a viable way to get around it. Forcing it Off in the video drivers introduced a lot of weird graphic glitches.

Which driver set do you have? I recall 12.3 (i think) mentioning something about Alan Wake and Xfire.

Hi

i have a single 5870 on three 1080p monitors...this game runs ok with everything off and turned down.

make sure you close all other apps before you run the game or it will grind down slow.

you could also gain fps by using your video driver software to disable aa and tesselation.

the only games ive played that really slow down my pc.

#1 crysis 2

#2 battlefield 3

#3 alan wake

crysis 2 i have to drop to 3840x720 to get 60fps

bf3 i get around 37 to 60 fps at 5760x1080.

alan wake with everything off i get arund 25 to 30fps.

regards

Sean

I have the newest official drivers.

I'll mess around with it next time I get a chance to see if I can get it working. I'll try to turn off xfire and see if that is the issue (I think it is)
