Oh hey, didn't see your Post till after the call. It's alright Free Long Distance with VOIP :-P

Ya they changed it to the Left monitor, and it's a hardware issue. I made sure to ask if this could be changed through a patch and they said, No it's the way the Hardware was designed.. I'm kind of upset about it to be honest. I mean I'm going to break my neck playing BF2 (which looks horrible on TH2G).

As far as the WoW issue, I made a thread here

Wait a minute.... am I reading this correctly??

Are they saying that if you want to play a game without utilizing TH2G that the image will ALWAYS appear on the left-most monitor and that there is no way around this?!?!

If so... this might be the STUPIDIST design decision in recent memory and will absolutely preclude me from buying the TH2GDigital.

Is there *any* way to by-pass this insanity with cabling?

What if I want to play a game on my center screen in 1600x1200. Is this not possible??

Basically if you have the TH2G plugged in, and the cables going through it, then whenever you use 4:3 rez (640x480 ; 1024x768 ; 1280x1024 ; 1600x1200) the video will be set to the LEFT monitor not the CENTER monitor.

The only way around this is to recable, so reduce rez, take out triplehead, use monitor alone.. and when you are done connect it again..

What this basically means is that your neck is going to break after playing non TH2G games (like BF2 or whatever else you play) for a while.

When I called they said that this was a hardware issue, and not a software one so it cannot be fixed through a patch.. Frankly I think it is a HORRIBLE idea.

Unbelievable. That is monumentally stupid.

Now if I want to use the digital version, I think I'll also need some type of KVM switching situation for the center monitor to bypass the TH2Go completely for non-TH gaming.

The project manager should be drawn and quartered on this one....

But really guys, do not our office chairs swivel? I too, have some apps and games that will not work spanned, but offhand, it doesn't seem to be a killer to me to have it on the left panel. If so, then I'll return and keep the analog .... Or better yet, if Matrox corrects in a "hardware revision" I would be demanding a swapout ...

It is, IMHO, a completely un-natural and uncomfortable way to game. Not to mention, those of us who flight sim/drive sim have TrackIR's on the CENTER monitor. In addition, I have a 7.1 surround system with the center speaker in the CENTER!

This item is aimed 100% at gamers. To make a mistake this fundamental is an absolute sign of either contempt for the consumer or blatant incompetence of the organization.

Considering my past experience with Matrox, I'm leaning towards the latter....

I game as well, track IR is a point conceded.

Might rethink this if there is possibility of a newer hardware config that may address, god only knows when that might be.

Plain and simple. I will stick with my Analog version for now.
I play quite a few online multiplayer shooters with friends and most of them do not support triple wide without a hack, and that will punkbust me.
So I play away on my center screen and have tons of fun.
This is terrible news. The future for Matrox is NOT looking very good, as well as future for triplehead gaming. Waaa

The frustrating part is that we even have to discuss this issue. Center-monitor gaming is such a non-brainer that I am honestly stunned that this is even an issue.

For me, if I want the digital version, I'm gonna have to get a DVI splitter which will probably set me back $150-$200 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000NIX790/ref=pd_luc_mri/002-5489347-8874428?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance).

The primary video output will go into the splitter, and then I'll have one output go to the TH2Go and the other into Input #2 on my center monitor.

I *think* this will correct the problem.... but I am mad as hell that I even need to do this.....
