BTW, there is a discussion at SIMHQ where they comment that IL-2 is designed for a 4:3 aspect ratio and simply cuts the top and bottom off to achieve widescreen, and that this has been discussed with Ubisoft and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

If that's the case (and they seemed pretty confident it was), Matrox won't be able to fix it, either. It's a problem even on a single widescreen monitor.
