You also have to consider how you would
1. Get the center image to rotate.
2. Get the center image to move to one side of the monitor.
3. Get the center image to not stretch.

As far as I know you can't do 1 and 3 with a TripleHead2Go and you can't do 2 at all.

1. Some vid cards let you rotate image
2. We have often seen black bards on the edge of screens, perhaps the widescreen monitor can have two black edges, one the bottom one the top to make up the corrent resolution
3. Hmmmm, yes.

ITS GOTTA WORK SOMEHOW COME ONE! Where is Squizzy?!

For the same reasons why there isn't a DVI in version of the TH2G this won't be humored. It's too specialized to be mass produced. They're targeting the largest cross section of users with thier product. To deviate from that means less sales.

i just realized that the 4:3 TFT screens are really 5:4. i dont know why it is common to call them 4:3, but if you measure the sides, it turns out to be 5:4, just like the pixel ratio. so dont worry about the nonsqare pixel anymore. it seems that at least this problem could be solved with the correct widescreen resolution. :D

Yes on one monitor. Not on some strange central percentage of one monitor. Remember, as far as your video card is concerned, when you have a TripleHead2Go you don't have 3 monitors, you have one.

I hate to be pessimistic and discourage innovation, but there are way too many reasons why this wouldn't work.

Points taken, but hope is not yet forsaken.
